They say you can’t keep a good man down, and in Emilio’s case, you clearly can’t keep him away from Paragon either.
Back in April 2022, Emilio left the business to pursue a lifelong ambition of becoming a firefighter. It was a huge step, and one we were incredibly proud to see him take. Choosing a career centred around protecting others and saving lives says a lot about the kind of person he is.
Fast forward to today, and Emilio is still working as a firefighter. However, with his shift pattern giving him regular time off-duty, he has now decided to rejoin Paragon and support the team alongside his firefighting career.
For those who have been with the business for a long time, Emilio’s return brings a real sense of nostalgia. He was part of Paragon in the early days, when Matt and Jon first opened the Scunthorpe office, so having him back feels like welcoming an old friend home.
It also says something important about the way we try to operate as a business.
We believe in looking after people, building genuine relationships and creating a working environment that people want to return to. Seeing someone come back after pursuing another career is something we are genuinely proud of, and a great reflection of the people-led culture we continue to build.
