On Sunday 2nd August, several members of the Paragon team attended the Attis Legends Match at Scunthorpe United’s Attis Arena, where Scunthorpe United Legends took on Manchester United Legends.
As proud sponsors of Scunthorpe United, we were delighted to support the club and enjoy an evening that brought together football, colleagues and the wider local community.
Stories from the legends
Before kick-off, guests had the chance to hear from former players from both clubs as they shared stories from throughout their careers.
They spoke openly about breaking into professional football, the challenges they faced along the way and the memorable moments that made their journeys so rewarding. It was a great opportunity to hear first-hand what life was really like behind the scenes of the professional game.
A brilliant atmosphere
The stadium was packed, creating a fantastic atmosphere from start to finish.
One of the funniest moments of the evening involved a member of our own office team. After a quiet word with one of the Manchester United legends, our colleague was repeatedly sent to warm up along the touchline before being called over as though he was about to enter the match.
Just as he thought his big moment had arrived, he was told to sit back down again.
It certainly gave everyone a laugh and created a memory that will not be forgotten anytime soon.
