Situated in the heart of Scunthorpe, Bottesford Town Football Club is more than just a sporting venue; it’s a community hub with a rich history and a promising future. Playing their home games at the state-of-the-art Barrett Steel Stadium, this club embodies the passion and unity of its community.

A Walk Down Memory Lane

Founded in 1974, Bottesford Town Football Club began its journey at Frederick Gough School before moving to its current location in 1983. Over the decades, the club has seen incredible growth, thanks to the tireless efforts of the committee.

Meet Sam, The Junior Chairman

Our recent video interview with Sam sheds light on the vibrant community surrounding Bottesford Town FC. Sam, besides being the junior chairman, is also an assistant coach for the under-sevens, the coach for the under-14s, and plays for the club’s veterans side.

From Grassroots to Greatness

The club has recently undergone extensive renovations, including major development of their grass pitches. It’s not just about the physical improvements; the club has also amassed a team of highly skilled coaches. Sam mentions, “we’ve got a lot of coaches who have played at a high level and have a lot of experience to pass on to young players.”

A Family-Friendly Environment

Training days are Wednesdays and Thursdays, with sessions running from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM. But it’s not just the players who are the focus here. The club has made an effort to be parent-friendly, offering refreshments and dining options for families who choose to stay and watch.

Keeping Up With The Club

Bottesford Town FC is also ramping up its digital presence. A new website is set to launch in the coming weeks, adding to its already active Facebook pages.
