Our five-mile Scunthorpe charity walk with the MS Society reflected values that matter deeply across our business. Employees, families, children and pets gathered at Central Park, Scunthorpe, to support a fantastic cause.
Good weather and a brilliant atmosphere created a strong sense of community throughout the event.

Most importantly, the day raised £600 through JustGiving donations, our Easter Egg raffle and the additional raffle linked to the event. Every penny will go towards supporting people living with Multiple Sclerosis and the vital work carried out by the charity.

For us, the value of the day went beyond the fundraising total. The event brought colleagues together beyond work to support a meaningful cause and their local community.
It reflects the culture we’re building, centred on teamwork, community involvement and supporting causes that improve people’s lives.
What made the day especially important was how genuine it felt. People joined because they wanted to be there. They gave their time, involved their families, donated prizes and created a warm, relaxed and worthwhile event.

As a business, we work in communities every day, so it matters to us that we contribute positively to them where we can. Supporting the MS Society in Scunthorpe gave us the chance to do that in a way that felt local, practical and meaningful.
We’re proud of what the walk achieved and grateful to everyone who helped make it happen. We’re proud to raise £600, but the day’s meaning mattered just as much as the total. It showed what can happen when people come together, support something bigger than themselves and do a small bit of good in the communities around them.
For us, that is exactly what social value should look like.
