Being people-led means supporting our team beyond their day-to-day roles. One person putting that support to good use is Ollie Armstrong, a member of our traffic management plan design team and a competitive BriSCA Formula One stock car driver.
Ollie produces the traffic management plans that help our client’s projects move safely and efficiently. Away from work, he swaps the drawing desk for the racetrack, competing at oval circuits across the UK.
What is BriSCA Formula One racing?
BriSCA Formula One is a fast, physical form of full-contact oval motorsport. Drivers race purpose-built, single-seat stock cars powered by powerful V8 engines, with heavy bumpers at the front and rear.
Contact is part of the sport, and drivers can use the bumper to move another car from the racing line. Success requires much more than outright speed. Drivers also need confidence, consistency, timing, mechanical preparation and plenty of racecraft.
Ollie’s racing journey
Ollie has built his experience across different circuits, surfaces and race conditions, including meetings at Skegness, Scunthorpe and in Northern Ireland.
Like most forms of motorsport, his journey has included strong performances, difficult weekends and mechanical setbacks. Across recent meetings, he has continued to improve his pace, consistency and confidence while gaining more experience behind the wheel.
For Ollie, each race is another opportunity to learn, develop the car and keep moving forward.

We also share his progress across our channels, giving our team, clients and followers an insight into the person behind the job title and the commitment required to compete in motorsport.
The sponsorship is about more than placing a logo on racing equipment. It is a chance to support one of our own in pursuing something he is genuinely passionate about.
Behind every race meeting are hours of preparation, travel, maintenance and repairs. Good weekends deserve celebrating, but the determination to return after a difficult meeting is just as important.

Traffic management and stock car racing may seem like very, very different worlds, but they share several important qualities.
Both rely on preparation, teamwork, concentration and quick decision-making. Consistency matters, equipment needs to be properly maintained, and everyone involved must take responsibility for their own performance.
These are values we recognise throughout the business and a big part of why we are proud to support Ollie.
