Before kick-off, former players from both clubs shared stories from their careers.
They discussed breaking into professional football, overcoming challenges and enjoying the highlights that made their careers worthwhile. It was a great opportunity to hear first-hand what life was really like behind the scenes of the professional game.
A brilliant atmosphere
A packed stadium created a fantastic atmosphere from start to finish. One of the funniest moments of the evening involved a member of our own office team. A Manchester United legend repeatedly sent our colleague to warm up before pretending to substitute him onto the pitch.
Just as he thought his big moment had arrived, he was told to sit back down again. It gave everyone a laugh and created a memory we will not forget anytime soon.
