One anticipated development, which was first introduced in 2021 is the automation of cone placement utilising specifically built IPV’s (Impact Protection Vehicles).While not necessarily “New”, we believe 2024 will see a larger adoption of this technology. These automated cone laying machines aim to revolutionise how we manage taper deployment, making the process much safer by removing the risk of having people physically placing each cone and more efficient by means of reduced down times for set up and clear up.
